This information just came my way and I wanted to share it with you because I know that a lot of folks are rabid about taking photos and videos. After all, no one seems to leave home without their phones, therefore their cameras are always at the ready. And, I’ve seen enough weird and awkward shots of people with cell phones and cameras blocking their faces, trying to get a shot of themselves, to know that there has to be a better way.
And, now, there is. I haven’t seen the iStabilizer’s Monopod iPhone and mobile camera extension in person, just the press info, but it looks clever enough that some of you might want to know about it.
Essentially, it’s a telescopic universal smart phone camera mount that’s lightweight and compact enough to take almost anywhere. Collapsed, the Monopod measures 14 inches and extends to a little over 3 feet. It weighs less than 8 ounces.
And the Monopod isn’t only for self-portraits. You never know when the opportunity will present itself for an unusual shot that you couldn’t capture at arm’s length. Just think, you now can have the coolest photos on Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook.
You can see a demo here.
And get more information and order it here. It sells for $34.95.
